"Calculation of damping resistances"

Calculation of damping resistances

Tranmitter damping resistance

We will apply critical damping ($Q=\frac{1}{2}\sqrt{2}$),

The value $R_{ds}$ of the damping resistor in parallel with the transmit coil should then be

\begin{equation} R_{ds}=1200.0\,\left[ \mathrm{\Omega}\right] \end{equation}

Receiver damping resistance

We will apply critical damping ($Q=\frac{1}{2}\sqrt{2}$),

The value $R_{dr}$ of the damping resistor in parallel with the receive coil should then be

\begin{equation} R_{dr}=4.443 \cdot 10^{4}\,\left[ \mathrm{\Omega}\right] \end{equation}

The figure below shows the transfer with an instantaneous transadmittance transmitter amplifier and an integrating voltage receiver amplifier, and damped antenna resonance.
