  • Date: 28-11-2024

  • Time: 15:45 - 17:30

  • Location: Pulse Hall 7 (33.A2.200)

  • Web page

Educational method#

At the beginning of the course, the application specification of a hearing loop receiver will be presented.

During the course the design of this receiver will be discussed step-by-step.

Motivation of the design steps, their underlying theory and application to other designs will be elucidated.

Structure of the lectures#

Every odd lecture, a design aspect will be studied and homework will be given in which the presented material is applied to the design of the hearing loop receiver.

Every even Lecture, the homework will be discussed.

The course will be concluded with an oral group exam about the design process of negative feedback amplifiers in CMOS technology.

Preparation#

Students need to prepare the lecture as follows:

  • Study the sections in the book associated with the lecture

  • Study the presentations of the lecture

  • Watch the videos of the lecture

Prerequisite knowledge and skills#

  1. This course is a follow-up course of the BSc course EE3C11. Students that have not succesfully finished this course should follow the homologation program.

  2. You should be able to work with LTspice and SLiCAP and Python. Please study the SLiCAP tutorial my First RC Network.
